Arunachalam Battiprolu has work experience in the engineering and environmental consulting fields. Arunachalam started their career in 2008 as a Senior Engineer at WAPCOS LIMITED, where they worked on various water resource projects and conducted Environmental Impact Assessments. In 2012, they were promoted to the role of Deputy Chief Engineer at WAPCOS Limited official. Throughout their career, Arunachalam has been involved in multiple EIA and Socio Economic studies, and has formulated Environmental Management Plans to mitigate adverse impacts on sensitive areas.

Arunachalam Battiprolu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Arunachalam then pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and Management from I.I.T Delhi, graduating in 2008. During their time at I.I.T Delhi, they also earned a certification in Measurements of onsite surface meteorological properties as a part of the Indo-Japan International Collaboration Research Project "Implementation and Validation of Numerical models for Heat Island Study of Mega city Delhi". This certification was obtained in April 2006.
