Metaxia Toumbelekis

Metaxia Toumbelekis is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in mental health services. Currently, Metaxia is affiliated with Waratah Private Hospital, providing inpatient groups and day programs in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Previous roles include Clinical Psychologist at Stirling Psychology and online psychologist from January 2020 to December 2022. Metaxia completed a PhD at UNSW under the supervision of Scientia Professor Richard Bryant, focusing on Social Attachment and Fear Learning, and received the Faculty of Science Dean's Award for Outstanding Thesis. Additional experience includes roles at St John of God Health Care, Cumberland Hospital, Sydney Child Behaviour Research Clinic, and UNSW Psychology Clinic, alongside teaching positions as a tutor in various psychology courses. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology from UNSW.
