Brett Shawn

Brett Shawn is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and investment activities. Currently serving as Managing Director and Assistant General Counsel at Warburg Pincus LLC since April 2015, Brett has held multiple roles within the firm, progressing from Senior Attorney to Senior Vice President, Assistant General Counsel. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Brett worked as an Associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, focusing on corporate M&A matters. Brett's career began at J.P. Morgan as an Analyst in Asset Backed Securities, covering student loans and credit cards. Brett holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy from Columbia College, Columbia University. Early education was completed at Horace Mann School.
