Head of Sales, Americas at WARC

Elizabeth Kennedy has been Head of Sales, Americas at WARC since May 2018. Prior to that, they were Senior Manager, Institutional Sales at The Chronicle of Higher Education from March 2015 to May 2018, where they were responsible for retention and growth of the institutional site license business for both The Chronicle of Higher Education and The Chronicle of Philanthropy.

Under Elizabeth's leadership, the institutional sales team at The Chronicle transformed their sales strategy by conducting thorough analysis of traditional and non-traditional markets to identify areas primed for growth, managing an overhaul of internal operations and systems to increase team efficiency and provide transparency into the business, and expanding the sales team headcount to align with new sales initiatives. This work resulted in consistent year over year revenue growth of 10% from both new business and retention.

Elizabeth is a strategic collaborator with internal teams including product development, finance, business solutions and marketing. Elizabeth has also represented The Chronicle at industry trade shows such as the American Library Association annual meeting, Fundraising Day New York, and several regional library consortium meetings.

Elizabeth Kennedy has a BA in Theirtory and Government from William & Mary.

They are on a team with Geoffrey Precourt - US Editor, Carolyn Murphy - Head of Client Services, Americas. Elizabeth Kennedy reports to Cathy Taylor, U.S. Commissioning Editor.
