Douglas Gullo has over 30 years of experience in architecture and design. Douglas is currently the Director of Commercial Architecture at Ware Malcomb. Prior to this role, they served as the Studio Manager of Commercial Architecture at the same company from 2018 to 2020.
Before joining Ware Malcomb, Douglas was the Owner/Architect/Designer at IMA Consultants from 2018 to 2020. Douglas was responsible for managing and executing various architectural projects.
Douglas also worked at Butler Design Group for 16 years as the Designer Director/Architect. During their time there, they acted as the primary design lead and manager on multiple projects, developed design standards, and guided and managed design staff.
Douglas has also held positions at OZ Architects, Cuningham Group, Van Dijk Pace Westlake, Allen+Philp/ADP Fluor Daniel, Sher-Bergstrom Associates, and Design Bridge, gaining a diverse range of experience in architecture, design, and project management.
Douglas Gullo, RA has a solid education history in the field of architecture. Douglas first pursued their undergraduate studies at Oak Park and River Forest High School from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained their graduate degree. After completing high school, they continued their education at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1983 to 1985, focusing on architecture. Douglas then transferred to the University of Arizona and enrolled from 1986 to 1991 to pursue their Bachelor of Architecture degree.
Douglas Gullo, RA further expanded their qualifications by obtaining an Architectural License from the State of Illinois in September 1994.
