Marec Lerche has extensive work experience in the music industry. Marec started their career at Universal Music Group as a Promotion Manager from 1994 to 2000. Marec then worked as a Marketing- and Sales Manager at MP3.com, where they focused on developing the international brand and implementing digital marketing campaigns from 2001 to 2003. Marec then joined Sony Music Entertainment as an eMedia Business Development Manager in 2004. Marec also worked as a Mobile Marketing Manager at Buongiorno Vitaminic in the same year. In 2005, Marec joined Warner Music Group, initially as a Manager of Business Development in Germany until 2008. Marec then became a Senior Manager of Business Development at Warner Music Central Europe, responsible for the development of the music business and exploring new opportunities until 2018. From 2018 to 2022, they served as the Head of Digital Performance Management & Development, where they established a data-driven culture and built a team of data analysts and scientists. Currently, Marec is the Head of Business Development at Warner Music Central Europe. Outside of the music industry, they briefly worked as the Chief Financial Officer of Kinderladen Prickelkids e.V., a nonprofit association, from 2009 to 2010. Overall, Marec Lerche has a strong background in business development, marketing, and digital performance management in the music industry.
Marec Lerche obtained a M.A. degree in cultural sciences with a focus on music and communication from Leuphana University of Lüneburg between 1994 and 2000.
