Mahesh Rao

Mahesh Rao is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and team management across multiple high-profile organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering and India Site Lead at Warner Music Group since August 2025, Mahesh previously held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Walmart Global Tech India, overseeing significant projects in advertising and business systems. Mahesh also served as a Senior Engineering Manager at Walmart, leading teams responsible for multi-tenant communication platforms and transactional communication systems. Prior experience includes engineering leadership roles at Dell EMC, where Mahesh guided modernization efforts for data protection software, and as an intern at Aricent Group. Mahesh holds a B.E. in Computer Science from UVCE and is furthering education in Organizational Leadership at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
