Heidi A. Lyon

A highly regarded employee benefits and ERISA attorney, Heidi Lyon centers her award-winning practice on a wide range of retirement plan-related matters, particularly 401(k), 403(b) and pension plans, as well as on executive compensation. She delivers top-tiered client service to a diverse client base including large publicly traded national and multinational corporations, plan fiduciary boards, colleges and universities, hospitals, governmental entities and small to midsize local employers and professional firms.

As a lawyer who’s passionate about using her technical knowledge to help clients succeed and achieve their goals, Heidi guides clients in designing, operating and maintaining compliant employee benefit plans that attract, retain and engage a talented and diverse workforce at a manageable cost. Heidi helps her clients prudently navigate the complex legal framework that applies to these plans as well as the retirement plan industry and current trends. She also works closely with plan fiduciaries to interpret plans, assess risk and engage and monitor service providers.

On the executive compensation end, Heidi advises on designing and maintaining plans or employment agreements to attract and retain the finest business leaders in a tax-efficient manner. Her work enables clients to reward top executives, which encourages them to deliver their best performance and bolster the overall success of the workforce and the organization as a whole.
