Josh listens well and tries to see a case from every perspective – identifying a client’s strengths while negotiating terms or preparing for trial. He is also inventive, determined and adaptable in his approach to research, writing and debate. Josh absorbs knowledge quickly and is most content when solving complex problems. And, his noble nature drives his desire to advocate well for clients by placing their values ahead of his own.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and communication summa cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University. He earned his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law summa cum laude. Josh also worked numerous positions with the Michigan Legislature since 2016. While in law school, he received Jurisprudence Achievement awards across studies in intellectual property law; trademark law and unfair competition; research, writing, and analysis; criminal procedure; and basic will drafting. Out of over 200 briefs submitted, a brief of his won the Donald Nystrom Best Brief Competition. Additionally, in Moot Court, he and his teammates were named the best oralist team at the 2020 National Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court competition, placing second overall.
