Alexander Fries is a co-founder of TUM.ai, focusing on developing an AI-driven language tutor for personalized learning within the TUM.ai E-Lab Incubator. Previously, Alexander served as a junior analyst at UVC Partners, providing growth support to portfolio startups. Experience also includes facilitating courses on machine learning and AI safety at Effective Altruism Cambridge, conducting research on AI safety at The Nonlinear Fund, and exploring the neurocognitive basis of value representation as a summer research fellow at CHERI. Alexander's research background includes work on auditory perception at CNRS and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Groningen.
