Daryl Maguire is a highly skilled strategic advisor and architect, with a project portfolio spanning more than 25 years and across three continents.

With a successful track record in the design and delivery of a broad range of large, complex and long-term projects in America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Daryl specialises in major sporting infrastructure, as well as civic, commercial, retail, residential and interior architecture.

Building trusting and enduring relationships with clients is critical to Daryl’s practice. He understands the power of teamwork and is committed to creating collaborative and successful partnerships between clients and project teams. Prioritising simplicity and clarity, he is the central contact for projects, working closely with clients to provide valuable strategic advice and develop effective and efficient masterplans.

Daryl believes good architecture grows out of an understanding of the client’s vision and needs, and an appreciation of the site and context. Daryl is adept at turning highly complicated projects into manageable outcomes; through expert team management, and an unwavering confidence that every challenge can be solved.

A committed champion of great design, Daryl believes architecture plays a crucial role in shaping people’s lives, and works diligently to ensure the design concept is sustained through the delivery of built form.

Daryl is a registered architect in both New Zealand and California, and joined Warren and Mahoney as a Principal in 2012. Prior to this, Daryl was an Associate Principal at Populous, where he was a key member of the Christchurch Blueprint design team and Project Director for the major sporting infrastructure projects including: Metro Sports Hub, Stadium, and Cricket Oval Anchor Projects; the new Christchurch stadium in 2011; and masterplanning for Westpac Stadium (2010), Mount Smart Stadium, Western Springs Stadium, the Eden Park redevelopment and Masterplan for ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
