Sven Ollmann

Sven Ollmann is the Sydney Studio Principal, bringing with him over 25 years' experience working at the forefront of sustainable design across Europe and Australia.

His career features many high profile, benchmark projects across diverse sectors, and continents. His background of having worked directly with some of the most recognized architects of our time drives his passion for design excellence, team leadership and mentoring.

Sven has worked across Europe with Rem Koolhaas (OMA) and Norman Foster before coming to Sydney to lead the team on Deutsche Bank Place for Foster and Partners.

Sven approaches projects with rigorous analysis of the brief and site, challenging assumptions and conventions to extract the key elements for highly customized design solutions. He has a passion for workable, appropriate sustainability solutions that benefit and strengthen communities. Sven believes deep listening and learning is crucial to successful client relationships, and to the development of projects that respond to both clients’ needs and their stakeholders’ unique culture, values and identity.
