I have spent my entire career, including as an undergraduate, living and working in the small, liberal arts school context. I believe in the power of the integrated, intellectually rigorous, residential learning environment that enables students to develop their whole selves in a context of strong and supportive mentorship from faculty and staff. My background and interest in both experiential education and in sustainability made for a great fit in joining the Wilson community. My teaching and research focus on educational philosophy, place-based and environmental education, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Outside of work, I enjoy many things involving the outdoors including gardening, camping, and fishing.
