Ryan Pavel serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Warrior-Scholar Project since August 2013, focusing on empowering enlisted veterans and service members through transformative educational programming. Pavel's legal experience includes roles as Chief Operations Officer and Program Director at Winston & Strawn LLP, where responsibilities involved significant research and participation in litigation cases from 2017 to 2018. Pavel also contributed as a PILI Fellow at The John Marshall Law School - Veterans Legal Support Clinic, aiding veterans with VA disability appeals, and taught Legal Reasoning as an Adjunct Instructor at the Virginia Military Institute. Previous experiences include a Civil Advocacy Intern at the Legal Aid Justice Center and teaching high school English as a Corps Member for Teach For America. Pavel's military background includes service as an Arabic Linguist with the United States Marine Corps. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, a Bachelor's degree in International Security from the University of Michigan, and an Associate degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the Defense Language Institute.
