Rydrea Walker (He/His/Him)

CEO & Executive Producer

Rydrea Walker is a Deaf filmmaker, creative producer, and media entrepreneur based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born in Winfield, Alabama, and raised in Fayette, Walker discovered his passion for storytelling after watching his father film family events with a camcorder. He founded his first production company, Walker ASL Pictures, at age 17 while attending the Alabama School for the Deaf. His first short film, Bob Movie (2013), earned 3rd place at the Jacksonville State University Technology Fair. In 2017, he rebranded his company as WarriorsGate Entertainment to reflect a broader mission: empowering Deaf filmmakers and challenging Hollywood's limited view of Deaf talent.

A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with an Associate of Applied Science in Design and Imaging Technology through NTID, Walker also co-founded the Deaf-led collective Morpheyes Studio in 2019, offering a creative space for Deaf filmmakers to lead and collaborate on visual storytelling. He interned at Sorenson Communications as a video editor and videographer, traveling for projects in support of their national media initiatives.

Walker has worked in various capacities across film sets and organizations, including serving as assistant second camera, grip, and drone operator on the feature film Jesus, produced by Deaf Missions—the largest-budget Deaf-led film in Hollywood history.

As the Founder and CEO of WarriorsGate Entertainment, Walker leads a growing multimedia production company focused on elevating Deaf stories through live event coverage, film production, and community-centered media. In 2025, he partnered with Naptown Films to produce his latest short film, Erased, a powerful narrative exploring Deaf identity and systemic erasure.

Currently, Walker works as a Video and Events Specialist at Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc (CSD). He continues to use his platform to advocate for authentic Deaf representation, both on screen and behind the camera.
