Rose Cappa-Rotunno has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. Rose currently serves as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Wartburg, where they are responsible for planning, managing, and implementing activities and campaigns to increase philanthropic support. Prior to this, Rose was the President of The Event Department NY, a consulting company specializing in community relations and development. Rose has also worked as an Area Development Director at the United Negro College Fund and as the Director of Special Projects and Corporate Relations at the American Red Cross. Earlier in their career, Rose held positions at Pace University and the United Way of Westchester and Putnam. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in marketing, community relations, volunteer management, and event planning.

Rose Cappa-Rotunno pursued their undergraduate education at Pace University - Lubin School of Business from 1987 to 1990. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, specializing in Business. In 2021, they furthered their professional development by obtaining a Certification in Professional Fundraising from Boston University Center for Professional Education.
