Jakob Asplund

Jakob Asplund has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as General Manager of Sales Management and Proposals for Energy Agreements at Wärtsilä since May 2010. In this role, Jakob leads a multi-national organization that focuses on sales management, performance management, and proposal management for long-term service agreements. Previous positions at Wärtsilä include Business Controller for Agreement Management, where Jakob managed a finance team and implemented global financial processes, and Manager of Support and Development for Energy Agreements, focusing on long-term service agreements in South Europe and Africa. Jakob also has a background as a Proposal Engineer and began his career at Wärtsilä as a trainee in Ship Power Offshore Project Management, with earlier experience as a Mechanical Assembler at Logset Oy. Jakob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Novia University of Applied Sciences, obtained in 2010.
