Joel Thigpen

Joel Thigpen has extensive experience in the marine and oil and gas industries, currently serving as General Manager of Marine New Build Sales at Wärtsilä since June 2015, with previous roles including General Manager of Global New Build Sales Program and Business Development Manager for Offshore Drilling. From June 2013 to May 2015, Joel held the position of Global Account Manager at WESCO Distribution. Prior to that, a significant tenure at National Oilwell Varco lasted from December 2005 to June 2013, where responsibilities included Global Account Manager and Business Development Manager for the Middle East. Joel's early experience also includes serving as a Personnel Officer in the United States Air Force from May 2002 to December 2005. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences with a concentration in Business Management from the United States Air Force Academy and a Certificate in Sales Management from Purdue University Daniels School of Business.
