Sander Dekkers

Sander Dekkers currently serves as the General Manager for workshops in Central Europe at Wärtsilä, overseeing multiple locations including Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Hamburg since July 2023. Prior roles at Wärtsilä include Manager of Workshops for Schiedam and Harlingen, as well as positions such as Manager of the Propulsion Workshop, Sales Support Manager, and Sales Engineer between 2007 and 2022. Earlier experience includes working as a Cargo Co-ordinator at Maersk Line and serving as a 2nd officer with P&O Nedlloyd, where responsibilities encompassed navigational, cargo, and engine room watchkeeping. Sander Dekkers holds a degree in Marine Engineering from the Higher Nautical Academy Rotterdam, obtained from 1997 to 2001.
