Roger Bevan

Roger is an experienced finance professional, whose career is notable for its strong operational/performance focus, its high level of strategic engagement, for significant change management expertise in large complex businesses, a breadth of experiences and with a truly international exposure.

He worked for his last employer, Coats plc (a $1.7bn turnover group, operating in 70 plus countries) for twenty years and held key positions in a business undergoing massive change and challenge. This included handling both rapid growth units in emerging markets, as well as downsizing in developed markets. The business over this period went from being a largely UK based diversified conglomerate, into a global and focussed business, with a totally redefined geographic footprint and with less than 2% of its current activities in the UK. He held a number of key line and corporate roles during this period, all directly involved in both developing and implementing this transformation.

In the last 8 years as the group CFO, he also handled the change from plc status, through to private equity ownership (GPG investment group), and back again to the threshold of a new independent listed future. Roger joined WCG in May 2014 as Group Finance Director, with a particular focus on helping to build a healthy and sustainable financial future for the group and its people.
