Eileen May-West is a seasoned professional in adaptive sports and therapeutic recreation, currently serving as Program Director at Wasatch Adaptive Sports since October 2016, where Eileen leads program operations and development for a year-round outdoor adaptive recreation program that benefits over 500 individuals with disabilities annually. Prior roles include Program Manager for summer and winter adaptive sports and experience as an Adaptive Sports Instructor at the National Ability Center. Eileen's background in therapeutic recreation includes a Master’s Degree from the University of New Hampshire and comprehensive experience as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Eileen's career began with an internship at the US Olympic Committee focusing on the Paralympic Military Program, complementing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Syracuse University.

Wasatch Adaptive Sports (WAS) a 501 (c)(3) charitable foundation was established in 1977 to help fill the need for affordable recreational and educational programs for children and adults with special needs. Most programs available today are financially out of reach for many families and individuals. WAS does not turn anyone away, requires no initial fee, and provides full or partial scholarships so all can participate.
