Abigail Portwood serves as the President of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society since May 2023 and holds various roles at Washington and Lee University, including Lifeguard and Research Assistant, where research focused on endangered acroporid corals using photogrammetry techniques. As Vice President of Judicial Affairs for the Panhellenic Council at Washington and Lee, Abigail contributes to academic governance. The A. Paul Knight Internship with Friends of Harriman State Park involved surveying and mapping trails, resulting in a new trail assessment report. Abigail further gained experience as an Assistant Maintenance Park Ranger with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation focusing on historic restoration and maintenance tasks. A former Vice President of Panhellenic Relations in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Lifeguard and Recreation Department Head at Margaritaville Lake Resort, and seasonal clerk at Target and Kroger, Abigail holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geology and Environmental Studies from Washington and Lee University, expected in May 2024.
