Beth Ebel, MD, MSc, MPH, FAAP, serves as a Professor of Pediatrics at UW Medicine and a Pediatrician at Seattle Children's, roles held since June 1999. In July 2023, Beth Ebel became President of the Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and currently holds multiple leadership positions, including Head of Policy and Head of Safe and Active Transportation at the Harborview Injury Prevention & Research Center (HIPRC). Additionally, Beth Ebel serves as Vice Chair of the Target Zero Committee in King County, which aims to eliminate traffic deaths and injuries. With a rich background in public health and policy, Beth Ebel has also held significant international roles, including serving as an Economist for the United Nations Development Program. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, a Master of Public Health from the University of Washington School of Public Health, and multiple degrees from prestigious institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Oxford.
