Sustainability And Energy Conservation Manager at Washington Community and Technical Colleges

Scott Morgan serves as the Sustainability and Energy Conservation Manager at the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges since May 2024. Previously, Morgan was the Director of Sustainability at The Evergreen State College from March 2009 to May 2024, where responsibilities included coordinating sustainability planning and projects related to energy conservation, renewable energy, climate change mitigation, and sustainable entrepreneurship. Additional experience includes roles as an adjunct faculty member at The Evergreen State College and South Puget Sound Community College, where Morgan focused on green building classes, adult basic skills, and computer skills instruction. Morgan also co-founded Cairn Sustainability Consulting Services, providing sustainability assessment and planning for educational institutions. Earlier career highlights include leadership positions at Black Lake Jujutsu and The Olympian Newspaper. Morgan holds a Master of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
