Will Durden has extensive experience in the field of education, currently serving as the Director for Basic Education for Adults at the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges since August 2014. In this role, Durden has also held interim director responsibilities and worked as a policy associate, focusing on building equitable guided pathways. Prior to this position, Durden was an English faculty member at Clark College from September 2008 to August 2014, teaching various courses in rhetoric, composition, and literature while participating in multiple committees aimed at strategic planning and student retention. Will Durden earned a Master's Degree in English Studies from Western Washington University (2006-2008) and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington State University (2002-2005).
