Catherine Butler

Catherine Butler serves as an Instructional Coach at Tacoma Public Schools since September 2014 and has been involved in professional development at the Washington Education Association since June 2020, focusing on equitable access to learning and innovative training models. Catherine led DrButlerPD.com from January 2019 to June 2022, emphasizing the transformation and management of educational practices to enhance student learning through effective instructional leadership. Previously, between September 2000 and June 2014, Catherine held roles as a teacher leader, instructional coach, and curriculum specialist at Fife Public Schools, where curriculum redesign and professional development initiatives resulted in significant student achievement improvements. Catherine earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and a Master in Teaching from City University.
