Mike Pina is an experienced Program Manager in Communications and Outreach at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Mike also works as a Mediator at Shared Neutrals and Washington English Center as a Business English Instructor. In the past, Mike has held roles such as National Director of Public Relations at AAA and Manager of Communications at the Travel Industry Association. Mike holds a BS in Public Relations and Marketing from Syracuse University and has additional certifications in social marketing and teaching English as a second language.

Washington English Center (WEC) provides affordable English-language instruction and workforce development programs to adult immigrants using volunteers. We have worked with thousands of students from more than 100 countries. With a small staff of just nine, WEC is able to fulfill its mission through the commitment of an army of trained volunteer teachers, tutors, and job coaches. For 30 years, WEC has continued to thrive in this community thanks to the generous support of individual donors, corporate sponsors, and other local funders.
