M. Elise Hyland

M. Elise Hyland, age 61, has served on the Board of Directors since August 2019. Ms. Hyland is a natural gas industry executive and leader with over 35 years of operations management, business development and manufacturing technology experience. Ms. Hyland retired from the position of Senior Vice President, EQT Corporation and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, EQT Midstream Services, LLC in 2018 after 18 years with EQT. While at EQT, Ms. Hyland held progressively senior roles at Equitable Gas Company, EQT’s regulated gas utility and also held progressively senior roles within EQT Midstream Services, LLC, including Executive Vice President of Midstream Operations and Engineering from 2013 to 2017 and President of Commercial Operations from 2010 to 2013. In addition to Washington Gas, Ms. Hyland sits on the boards of directors of Marathon Oil Corporation and Entergy Corporation.

Ms. Hyland obtained her Masters of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration (Tepper School of Business) at Carnegie Mellon University. She also has a Masters in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from the Carnegie Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science and Business Administration from the Carnegie Institute of Technology and Graduate School of Industrial Administration.
