Amelia Gannon

Amelia Gannon is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in public administration and resource management, currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) since August 2019. In this role, Amelia provides leadership support to the Executive Vice President and Chief Infrastructure Officer while overseeing administrative teams responsible for staffing, budgeting, and operations. Previous positions at WMATA include Senior Manager of Administration & Resource Management and Manager of Program Development & Operations at the Rail Operations Control Center, where strategic initiatives enhanced safety and efficiency. Amelia also held various managerial roles at the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), where efforts focused on policy implementation and professional learning models. Amelia's academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University's Maxwell School and a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy Analysis and Political Science from Syracuse University.
