Jim Mabry is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in fiber optics and telecommunications engineering. Currently serving as the Fiber Engineering Manager at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) since December 2022, Jim is focused on enhancing WMATA's fiber infrastructure and wireless radio systems. Previous roles include Director of Commercial Construction at Comcast, where responsibilities encompassed managing multi-million dollar budgets and overseeing fiber optic construction in the DC/DE/MD/VA market, and Director of HFC Design, which involved designing comprehensive HFC networks across various states. Jim's earlier career included significant positions at Philips Broadband Networks, CADD Services Group, and the Center for Research in Electro-Optics and Lasers, complemented by a strong educational foundation in Electronics Engineering Technology from the University of Central Florida and Bio-Medical Electronics Engineering Technology from Brevard Community College.
