Fire Liaison Officer - Wmata Rail Operations Control Center (rocc) at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority

Rich Gardiner has extensive experience in fire and emergency services, currently serving as a Fire Captain in Operations for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority since December 2001. In this role, Rich assists in the daily functions of firefighting personnel across four fire stations serving the airports in Northern Virginia. Additionally, since July 2017, Rich has worked as a Fire Liaison Officer for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, facilitating communication between regional fire/EMS departments and metro rail operations. Rich is the founder of Harford Media Group, providing media relations and communications services, and serves as a spokesperson for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association and the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. Rich also has a part-time role as a Hazardous Materials Technician and Public Safety Dispatcher with the Harford County Department of Emergency Services. Rich holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Washington College.
