Alex Basil

Alex Basil has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2022, they are currently serving as the Senior Director of Digital Strategy at the Washington Nationals. Prior to this, Alex worked at Citi from 2020 to 2022, initially as an Investment Banking Associate in the Media & Telecom sector, and later as a Senior Associate. In 2019, they gained experience as an Investment Banking Summer Associate at Citi. From 2014 to 2018, Alex worked as a Technical Intelligence Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency. Before that, they were a Consultant at Ankura in 2013. Alex's early career includes positions such as EECS Academic Peer Advisor, Department of Physics Research Assistant, and Micro-Electrical Engineer at the University of Michigan from 2009 to 2013. Alex also completed internships at MITRE, BIT Systems, the National Security Agency, and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center between 2009 and 2012.

Alex Basil has a strong educational background in finance and computer engineering. Alex obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in finance from Columbia Business School between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Before their undergraduate studies, they attended St. Albans School (D.C.) from 2002 to 2009, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
