Jonathan Maggart has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Jonathan currently works as an Upper School Mathematics Teacher at Severn School since July 2022. Prior to that, they were a High School Mathematics Teacher at Anne Arundel County Public Schools from September 2019 to June 2022. Jonathan has also worked as a Middle School Science Teacher and Technology Coordinator at St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal School in 2018-2019, and as a Mathematics and Physics Tutor at C2 Education from 2017 to 2018.

In terms of their previous teaching experience, Jonathan served as a Math Teacher at Howard County Public Schools from 2013 to 2017, where they taught various math subjects and took on additional responsibilities such as team leader and launching/maintaining the Howard High Athletics Facebook page. Jonathan Maggart earned their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Le Moyne College from 2001 to 2005. Jonathan continued their education at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2016 to 2018, where they obtained a Master's degree in STEM Education. In July 2019, they also obtained a Maryland Educator Certificate from the State of Maryland.
