Meg Ryan has had a diverse range of work experiences. Meg recently worked at the Washington Speakers Bureau, starting as an Associate in September 2019 and later becoming a Vice President in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Crisis Services (of Erie County) where they held various roles such as Executive & Fund Development Assistant, Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Program Administrative Assistant, and Rape Crisis and Family Violence Counselor. At Crisis Services, they spearheaded strategic communications and social media campaigns, managed daily communications on various platforms, and provided crisis intervention and counseling to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Before that, they worked at the University at Buffalo as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, contributing to research on close relationships and adolescent behavior. Meg also worked at Mary Alice's Dance Studio as a Yoga Instructor and at YMCA Buffalo Niagara as a Lifeguard & Swim Instructor.
Meg Ryan attended the University at Buffalo from 2013 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with High Honors and Highest Distinction. Prior to their time at the University at Buffalo, they briefly attended The University of Alabama in 2012. Additionally, Meg Ryan obtained several certifications, including becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance in June 2014, a Good Research Practice training in March 2015, and a certification as a Rape Crisis and Family Violence Counselor from the Board of Directors of Crisis Services and NYS Department of Health in January 2016. In 2011, they also obtained certifications in Community CPR/AED from the American Red Cross and as a Lifeguard from the YMCA Buffalo Niagara.
