Cara H. has a diverse work experience spanning across various organizations. Cara started their career as a Law Clerk to Judge Guy R. Cole at the United States Court of Appeals in 2012. Following that, they worked as an Associate at Latham & Watkins from 2013 to 2016. In 2018, Cara joined the University of Washington School of Nursing as a Policy Researcher, where they stayed until 2020. Currently, they are working at the Washington State Hospital Association, initially as a Policy and Legal Consultant from 2020 to 2021, and subsequently as the Policy Director of Legal Affairs.

Cara H. has achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington, specializing in Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research, and Clinical Nursing. Cara has also obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Stanford Law School.

The Washington State Hospital Association is a membership organization representing community hospitals, health systems and several other health-related organizations.
