James Ramirez is an experienced community outreach professional currently serving as the Community Outreach Coordinator at the Washington State Hospital Association since July 2017, while also fulfilling the role of Community Outreach Specialist at the Community Health Plan of Washington since 2016. Ramirez has successfully managed relationships with community-based organizations, developed partnerships for membership growth, and directed outreach initiatives that resulted in significant enrollment increases. Prior experience includes overseeing operations as an Administrative Services Manager at CSRA Inc, providing outreach support with Enroll America, and engaging in various roles in political and city planning contexts. Ramirez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Occidental College.

The Washington State Hospital Association is a membership organization representing community hospitals, health systems and several other health-related organizations. The association provides issues management and analysis, information, advocacy and other services. In 2005, WSHA launched the Patient Safety program to help hospitals improve patient safety by supporting the adoption of evidence-based protocols that have been proven to save lives.
