Heather Byrd

Heather Byrd is an accomplished professional with a strong background in public relations, marketing, and communications. Currently serving as the Sr. Public Relations, Marketing, and Events specialist at Washington State University Spokane since September 2014, Byrd has previously held the role of Director of Development & Communications at The Salvation Army from August 2008 to September 2014, where efforts were focused on community service and support for vulnerable populations. Byrd's experience also includes positions as an Account Executive for KREM 2 Media Group and as a Television News Producer for both Kxly Tv News 4 Bureau and KIVI-TV. Educational qualifications include a BA in Communications/Business with a focus on Leadership Development from Washington State University, earned from 1991 to 1996.
