Asset Management Program Division Manager at Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission

Alan is responsible for the Asset Management Division. He oversees the development and implementation of the Enterprise Asset Management Program for more than 640,000 facility and underground assets within WSSC Water’s 1,000-square-mile service area. He manages a team that includes Project Managers, Asset Strategy Managers, an Economic Analyst, a Management Support Specialist, and an Infrastructure Optimization Specialist that work together to devise recommended capital planning strategies, perform business cases, and identify methods for continuous asset lifecycle enhancements.

Alan is a graduate of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health Science. He brings more than 27 years of broad utility experience in the private sector and at WSSC Water. He began his career in the private sector performing SSES studies and then went to work for WSSC Water. His WSSC career has included positions in Plant Operations, Permit Services, Facility Design and Construction, Facilities Maintenance, and Asset Management.
