J. C. Langley

As Director of Production, JC oversees water and wastewater operations for WSSC Water. This includes two award-winning water filtration plants, six award-winning water resource recovery facilities, a Maryland State-certified laboratory, a biosolids management program, monitoring and control of the collection and distribution systems, dams, reservoirs and watershed, and facilities maintenance.

JC earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, University College, but his passion for clean water and environmental protection began before he graduated high school, when he was accepted into the Estuarine Resource Technology program at Charles County Community College. He is a licensed water sampler and a licensed T4 water operator in the State of Maryland, a graduate of the Water Environmental Federation’s 2014 Water Leadership Institute and a graduate of the 2015 Water & Wastewater Leadership Center.

In his free time, JC enjoys spending time with his 12 grandchildren and getting outdoors and camping with his friends and family. He has earned a reputation for being a rainmaker and legend has it that if JC schedules a camping trip the rain starts and doesn’t stop.
