Michael Poissant is an experienced educator and musician, currently serving as a Teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools since August 2000, specializing in the Gifted and Talented Program and instrumental music. Michael is also a Gifted Education Facilitator at Washington Talent Agency and a trombonist with both the Millennium Band DC and Bachelor Boys Band. Previously, Michael was the lead trombonist and soloist with Moodswings Big Band until August 2022 and worked as a substitute trombonist for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, Michael taught an Introductory Jazz History course as an adjunct professor at Towson University from August 2008 to May 2014. Academic credentials include a Master of Music in Trombone Performance from Bowling Green State University and an Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership from Towson University.
