Krista Dooley

Director Of Community Partnerships And Leadership Development at Washington Trails Association

Krista Dooley has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental education and community partnerships. Krista started their career as a Program Director at Camp Highland Outdoor Science School, where they managed staff, developed educational curriculum, and organized residential programs. After that, they worked as an Environmental Education Instructor at IslandWood, teaching students and facilitating partnerships between the school and local elementary schools. Krista then worked as an Evening Activities Coordinator and Student Counselor at The American School in Switzerland. Following that, they joined EarthCorps as a Summer Outreach Specialist, delivering environmental education programs and coordinating restoration projects with high school students. Most recently, they have been working at Washington Trails Association, starting as the Youth Programs Director and later becoming the Director of Community Partnerships and Leadership Development. In this role, they have been responsible for managing youth programs, developing community partnerships, and overseeing staff and volunteers.

Krista Dooley has pursued a variety of educational qualifications throughout their academic journey. Krista holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Science Education from the University of Washington. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Restoration Ecology from the same institution. Further enhancing their knowledge and skills in the field of education, Krista also completed a Certificate in Education, Environment, and Community from IslandWood. Krista'seducational background also includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Liberal Arts from The Evergreen State College.
