Chet Hunter

Chet Hunter, MS, CEM, currently serves as the Associate Director of Emergency Management and Public Safety at Washington University in St. Louis, a position held since September 2016. Chet has extensive experience in emergency management, having previously worked as the Emergency Management Director for both the Springfield - Greene County Office of Emergency Management and Lawrence County. Additionally, Chet contributed as an Adjunct Faculty member at Saint Louis University from November 2021 to November 2022 and worked as an EMT on an ALS Unit at Mercy from April 2002 to July 2014. Chet's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Public Service and Safety Leadership from Drury University and several professional development certificates from FEMA and the Emergency Management Institute.
