Julie Baker

Julie Baker currently serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of State Relations at Washington University in St. Louis, a position held since December 2023. Prior to this role, Baker was the General Counsel to the Speaker at the Missouri House of Representatives from December 2019 to December 2023 and held the position of Deputy General Counsel in the Office of Governor Michael L. Parson from June 2018 to December 2019. Baker's earlier career includes roles as Director of House Drafting and Drafting Services Attorney at the Missouri House of Representatives, as well as Program Development Specialist at the Missouri CASA Association and Associate Attorney at Newman, Comley & Ruth, P.C. Baker began legal career as an intern at the Cole County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Educationally, Baker earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
