Virginia Slachman is an experienced academic and professional in the fields of English and therapy. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of English at Washington University in St. Louis since August 2013, Virginia also founded and presides over Virginia Slachman Coaching/Stride, LLC, starting in June 2013. Prior positions include Associate Professor of English at Principia College from July 2007 to January 2012, and English professor at the University of Cincinnati from 1992 to 2006. Virginia's early career included work as an adult, group, and family therapist from January 1980 to January 1985, focused on adult victims of child abuse and corporate EAP programs. Additionally, Virginia held roles as Assistant Director at Aspen Writers and Poetry Editor for Aspen Leaves, a biannual literary magazine, from January 1978 to January 1980. Virginia's educational background includes a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati, an MSW from Washington University, and an MFA from Goddard College, alongside a BA and BS in Education and English.
