Brian Beffort is a sustainability professional with extensive experience in environmental management and communications. Currently serving as the Sustainability Manager for Washoe County, Brian coordinates initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable practices. Previously, Brian held the position of Director at the Sierra Club's Toiyabe Chapter, advocating for clean air, water, and public lands. With a background as a Land Ethic Leader for the Aldo Leopold Foundation and roles in various environmental organizations, Brian's expertise spans communications, development, and community engagement. Brian holds a Master’s Degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard University, a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Reed College.
