Taylor Christensen Cruz, MPH, RD, LD, currently serves as a Diabetes Educator for the Washoe Tribe of Nevada & California since April 2021. Previously, Taylor held the position of Nutrition Program Coordinator at Kids Alive International, focusing on the nutrition needs of orphans and vulnerable children from June 2017 to February 2021. Taylor has also gained valuable experience as a Dietetic Intern at The L.A. Kitchen and Contra Costa Regional Medical Center & Health Centers, where responsibilities included conducting Medical Nutrition Therapy sessions and various clinical rotations. Additional roles include Graduate Research Assistant at Gillings Global Gateway™, Dietetic Intern at Piedmont Health Services Inc, and Student Research Assistant at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. Early career highlights include Co Executive Director of Sisters Network LLC and Student Educator at Fruitful Minds Nutrition Education. Taylor obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
