Lauren Purdy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in permit coordination and logistics. Currently serving as a Permit Coordinator at the Washtenaw County Road Commission since September 2015, Lauren is responsible for issuing and enforcing permits as well as reviewing and preparing permit applications. Prior to this role, Lauren held various positions including Import/Export Coordinator at Yazaki North America and Logistics Supervisor at Comprehensive Logistics/Falcon Transport. With a strong background in managing freight operations and team productivity, Lauren developed leadership skills as a Lead Analyst and Trainer at Central Transport. Lauren holds a Master’s degree in Communication from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from Western Michigan University.
Washtenaw County Road Commission
The Washtenaw County Road Commission is responsible for maintaining a road system that is reasonably safe and convenient to the traveling public. The agency is governed by a five-member Board of County Road Commissioners. Duties of the agency include winter maintenance, road and bridge construction, road repair & maintenance, signal and sign maintenance and ditch & drainage maintenance.
