Kim Wasson

Executive VP and Co-founder at Wasson Enterprise

Kim Wasson co-founded Wasson Enterprise, a family office that partners to build sustainable, high-growth businesses that do well by doing good. Wasson Enterprise brings a wealth of knowledge, including leadership, operations and governance experience to those WE supports.

Kim is a Pharm. D. and community advocate. She has more than 20 years’ experience as a practicing pharmacist, as well as years of demonstrated commitment to helping people in need via community organizations such as Love INC and Dispensary of Hope.

A 1981 graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy, Kim had a 17-year career with Walgreens, the nation’s largest drugstore chain. Kim served there in the capacities of pharmacist, pharmacy manager, and store manager in Houston, Milwaukee, Boston, and Las Vegas. In 2006, Kim earned her Pharm.D. degree at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. She followed her doctorate with five years of service at the outpatient anticoagulation clinic of Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois. Throughout her pharmacy career, Kim has served patients by providing much-needed expertise and compassion along with knowledgeable guidance through the challenges they face navigating this country’s complex healthcare system—including lack of access to both quality and affordable healthcare services and medication, and lack of healthcare coverage.

In addition to Wasson Enterprise, Kim is owner/operator of Forward Stride Stables in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois where clients can board their horses and receive quality riding instruction from expert trainers.
