Dan Kurtz

Dan Kurtz has extensive experience in the recycling and waste management industry, currently serving as Executive Director of Recycling at Waste Connections since August 2013, with previous roles including Director of Recycling and District General Manager. Prior to this, Dan held the position of Regional Manager for the Midwest Region at ReCommunity from April 2007 to June 2013, and was the owner of Kurtz, Inc. from 2005 to 2007, focusing on real estate and working with a custom home builder in Utah. Dan’s career began at Smurfit-Stone in various managerial roles from January 1996 to July 2005 across multiple states. Dan holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Oregon State University and a BA in International Relations from Brigham Young University.
