Ben Iobst

Ben Iobst is a highly experienced professional in business optimization and environmental management, currently serving as the Director of Business Optimization and Innovation at WM since September 2012. In this role, Iobst focuses on enhancing efficiency, yield, and financial performance for Texas and Oklahoma MRFs, while also contributing as a subject matter expert for corporate software development projects and initiatives related to continuous improvement and financial analysis. Prior to this, Iobst held positions including Operations Improvement Manager and Recycling Engineer at WM, where responsibilities included the design and installation of Single Stream Recycling plants and innovative R&D projects. Earlier career experience includes serving as an Environmental Project Manager at ERM from August 2007 to September 2012, managing environmental consulting projects, and working as a Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University, developing fate and transport models for contamination scenarios. Ben Iobst holds a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, and Spanish from Vanderbilt University.
